Today we continue to Gwango Elephant Lodge which is situated just outside Hwange National Park, named after a local chief. This park is the largest park in Zimbabwe. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to go on an optional night game drive in the estate which will give you the opportunity to discover nocturnal animals such as porcupines, civet cats, genet and leopard.

We will head south towards Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second, largest city, and Matobo National Park, which is at the Matobo or Matopos Hills, a scenic area of granite kopjes and wooded valleys. On your way, we visit the Painted Dog Conservation Project. This project is involved in various conservation programs such as anti-poaching, rehabilitation, reintroduction and pack monitoring.
