The Experience
One of the wildest examples of American muscle, the Viper engine follows the American stereotype of bigger is better with a ludicrous 8.4-litre V10 developing 640bhp and 600lb-ft of torque originally derived from a truck engine.
Whilst the Viper still delivers neck straining acceleration from a standing start, 0-62 comes up in around 3 seconds and goes onto a mind bending 206mph top speed. It has come along way since of the days of a simple drag racer. Instead, the Viper VX was designed to help its driver extract the best possible time around a circuit, lap after lap with its extreme aero kit. The rear wing and dive planes deliver huge amounts of down force and its six aggressive SRT engine louvres carved out in the bonnet are designed to reduce front end lift.
Whilst the Sabelt bucket seats hold you tight when exerting unbelievable cornering g- force. The Viper offers tremendous grip, sharp steering and dynamics that inspires the driver confidence to explore the car’s and their own limits.
Your Dodge Viper VX SRT Thrill Experience includes:
- 30 Minute Introductory Briefing: Covering racing lines, throttle/braking technique and track day safety etiquette.
- 4 x Sighting Laps including 1 high speed passenger lap in a track prepared sports car.
- A total of 8 driving laps in the Dodge Viper VX SRT with a professional instructor co-driver.
The first 2 laps are warm-up laps to help you get familiar with the car and track.
Session numbers are kept low to allow more time for each participant and help reduce excessive waiting between drives.
Important Information
A £45 surcharge applies for Saturday bookings and is payable at the time of booking.
Drivers must be at least 17 years old and hold a valid driving licence. UK licences or equivalent are accepted. If your licence is not printed in the Latin alphabet, you must also bring an international driving licence on the day.
Automatic licences are accepted, but this limits you to automatic vehicles only. Under 17 driving experiences are excluded.
Participants must be able to understand spoken and written English. If you have any specific requirements, these should be discussed before booking.
Free parking is available on site, and the hospitality building is accessible via ramp.
Motorsport activities always carry some risk, even when properly supervised. Participants must follow all instructor guidance and safety procedures at all times. If damage is caused to a vehicle as a result of a participant’s driving, the participant accepts responsibility for the excess costs needed to repair that damage. The excess varies depending on the experience booked, starting from £2,500 + VAT and rising to £20,000 + VAT for certain vehicles.
For most experiences, an optional damage liability reduction can be purchased either in advance or on the day before the session begins. This reduces the participant’s liability for accidental damage. This option is not available for the Jordan EJ12.
Once booked, the experience is non-refundable. You may rebook an experience of equal value, although a rebooking fee may apply. Rebookings made with more than 15 days’ notice allow one free change. Less notice may result in a fee.
The Weather
Events usually go ahead unless conditions are extreme, such as ice or snow. Heavy rain may cause delays or cancellation for certain vehicle experiences where standing water remains on track.
There is a hospitality unit on site for shelter, but outdoor conditions should still be expected. Wet weather clothing and an umbrella are recommended.
Arrival
Please arrive on time to register. The driver briefing starts 15 minutes after your booked arrival time, and you will not be able to take part if you miss it.
Numbers
Your voucher is valid for one person. All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis although briefings may be shared with other participants.
Spectators
Spectator areas are available both indoors and outdoors. Depending on availability, spectators may have the chance to join an instructor for hot laps or take part in driving activities on the day. This is entirely at the discretion of the instructors.
This is mainly an outdoor venue, so spectators should dress for the weather. Pets are not allowed, although service dogs are welcome.
What To Wear
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather and flat-soled, slim-fitting shoes.
Helmets are supplied where required. If a helmet is needed for your experience, a balaclava must also be worn. You may bring your own helmet if it meets the required standard, except for Ariel Atom experiences where the venue helmet must be used because of the intercom system. Wet weather clothing is not provided, so bring your own if needed.
For Supercar and Drift Experiences, helmets are mandatory. Branded Balaclavas, Race Gloves, hats, T-shirts, beanies and more can be purchased from the café onsite.
