The Experience

This Mother's Day, step aboard the Northern Belle, sister train to the famous Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, for an exquisite round trip through Britain's glorious countryside. Indulge in the comfort of the beautiful carriage and relax at your table set with pristine white linen, sparkling glassware and bespoke china.

Your journey on the Northern Belle begins with a welcome Champagne reception on board. You will be served a delicious silver service five course lunch; a British seasonal table d'hôte menu including a Great British cheese board, crackers and chutneys, accompanied with a half bottle of wine and followed by coffee, tea and petits fours. Liveried train stewards are on hand to look after your every need.

If you wish to, before and after lunch you are welcome to stroll through the train and discover different details of each carriage.

No refunds will be paid for trips that have dropped in price compared to the voucher.

The Weather

The weather should not affect this experience but in severe weather conditions you are advised to call the reservations office to ensure your experience aboard the Northern Belle will be going ahead.

Session Length

Please arrive 20 minutes before your train is due to depart. Journey times vary. Please contact Reservations for more information. Your journey should last approximately five hours.

Numbers

You will share this experience with other people in your carriage and you may share your table with other passengers.

Tables for two are limited. We are happy to take your request, however this is not a guarantee and there is a chance that you will share a table for four with another couple.

Spectators

Spectators are not welcome on this experience. Anyone wishing to join you for your Northern Belle fine dining experience should purchase a voucher.

What To Wear

Smart casual wear is appropriate. Please do not wear jeans or trainers.
