The Experience
Turn loss of control into total confidence.
The Skid Pan Driving Experience in Yorkshire offers a hands-on, practical way to understand — and master — the physics of car control. Designed for both new and experienced drivers, this two-hour session helps you recognise and respond to real-life skid situations in a completely safe training environment.
Your experience begins with an in-car briefing from a professional instructor, who explains the most common causes of vehicle skids and how to correct them. You’ll then see these techniques in action as the instructor demonstrates loss of traction, oversteer and understeer. Once you take the driver’s seat, it’s your turn to practise recovery skills and learn how to regain control quickly and safely.
Each session includes practical, supervised exercises and ends with a random sequence of skid simulations to test your reactions. You’ll finish with a detailed debrief, reviewing how to apply your new skills on the road.
Your package includes:
- 2-hour skid control course
- Professional instructor and full safety briefing
- Practical, in-car training and post-session debrief
Ideal for anyone who wants to become a more capable, confident driver, this is an experience that’s as valuable as it is exhilarating.
