The Experience
The Ring of Kerry is one of Ireland’s most unforgettable journeys.
This full-day tour combines rail travel and guided coaching to bring you through the southwest’s most striking landscapes. Your experience begins at Dublin Heuston Station, where you board a morning train and travel through Co. Kildare’s open countryside.
Your train continues southwest through Portlaoise, Thurles and Limerick Junction before reaching Mallow, where you transfer to the service for Killarney. A guide will accompany you throughout the trip, so every stage feels clear and straightforward.
On arrival in Killarney, you will join your motorcoach and begin the Ring of Kerry route. The road circles the MacGillycuddy Reeks and passes mountain peaks, winding valleys and long stretches of Atlantic coastline. Stops are planned for photos and refreshments, allowing time to enjoy each viewpoint. A visit to the Kerry Bog Village Museum offers insight into rural life in 18th-century Ireland, and creates a useful break during the loop.
As the tour reaches Waterville, you may catch sight of the Skellig Islands, depending on weather conditions. The route then continues through seaside villages such as Glenbeigh, Sneem and Waterville before returning towards Killarney by way of Ladies View and the Lakes of Killarney.
With hosted travel and admission included, the Ring of Kerry tour keeps the day simple and lets you focus on the scenery that defines this region.
